Life Education Trust has been educating New Zealand children for over 33 years. Today, they are New Zealand’s largest health education provider in schools. We are honoured to support the Canterbury Trust over a three-year partnership. We have been delighted to offer electrical expertise to help upgrade their fleet of mobile classrooms and offer ongoing electrical maintenance.

About the Trust
Specialist Educators travel throughout the country using technology and individualised lessons to engage children, creating a unique and memorable learning experience, from these mobile classrooms. Every year, through the Healthy Harold programme, they teach over 250,000 children to embrace healthy choices – learning about their body, friendships, their identity, food and nutrition, and helpful and harmful substances.
In secondary schools they support youth through two Theatre-in-Education programmes. SMASHED, informs and educates young people on the dangers of underage drinking, promoting responsible attitudes to alcohol. SMART$, encourages financial literacy, empowering young people to make positive financial choices.
Life Education Trust is a charity funded by donations, grants and commercial supporters.
The Great Canterbury Duck Race
In November 2021 we also supported their Great Canterbury Duck Race.

Corporate Race ducks ready to race down the Avon River
There were 3 exciting races starting from the Bridge of Remembrance down the Avon River and past the Terrace Steps to the finish line at Hereford St Bridge. The tension was high as our duck, fitted with a hard hat and Aotea Electric colours, took to the water. There were some serious bragging rights up for grabs as x50 corporate ducks competed for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places plus Best Dressed.

It was great to see such family support on the Terrace steps, with More FM and a sausage sizzle adding to the fun of the afternoon.
Our great hopes of victory were dashed as our duck decided to glide down the course on his side.

The Aotea Electric Canterbury duck decided to lay down for the race
Great fun all around and vital funds raised for such a worthy cause.
